libzbarqt-dev software package provides bar code scanner and decoder (Qt bindings development), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libzbarqt-dev
libzbarqt-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libzbarqt-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libzbarqt-dev *
You will get with libzbarqt-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
